Great place to eat! We just returned last night 7/17/15. It was standing room only. Sat at bar. Large pizza. Again, great service as the bartender handled the pressure. Pizza was two thumbs up!

Pizza was OK...nothing special. Beware that they do not sell cocktails on Sundays. According to our waitress, the restaurant did not wish to spend the extra money on a Sunday licence. Other than that, the service was prompt and friendly. I've not had much luck finding great pizza in Myrtle Beach.

Great pizza, great bread with spiced olive oil. Super friendly service. Had to wait to get a seat because it was a Saturday night in Myrtle Beach but so worth the wait. So happy that my wife suggested we eat here. We couldn't stop talking about how good it was, can't wait to go back and try more of their food. I love supporting local.

This place was a real find..authentic Italian cooking and very gracious staff. We knew it was going to be fantastic when we entered the place and saw the chefs hand tossing the pizza dough..so many pizzas to chooses from or create your own..the personal size pizza is for sure big enough to share..all the portions were generous..salads were fresh and the house balsamic dressing was delish..lots of other Italian entrees to choose from but the pizza is not to be missed..our waiter was fun and friendly and took amazing care of us..if you are looking for true Italian food while here on vacation, this is the spot!

This review is for take-out pizza only. I stumbled upon this place while cruising around looking for pizza once night while on vacation. I have to say...it was a GREAT find!! As soon as I stepped out of my car I was enticed by the wonderful aroma coming from the restaurant. I didn't know what to expect from a "strip mall" restaurant, but the atmosphere was quite nice, the menu was fantastic, and the prices (for entrees and apps) were on par with other restaurants in the area. I ordered 2 large pizzas...1/2 Pepperoni and 1/2 Sausage and Peppers and a Margherita. Both of them were excellent. Prices for pizza was on the high end (almost $40 for two pizzas), but I would rather pay more for a great pizza than pay even $5.00 for a garbage pizza! While I was waiting for my pizzas I stood at the bar and scoped out the food coming out of the kitchen and it looked fantastic! I could overhear people saying how much they were enjoying their food. I will definitely go back again to try their appetizers and entrees!

It's really nice to find wait staff in a resort town that are courteous and attentive. Combined with excellent food, this was a great place to come and relax after a day at the beach. We used Yelp to get us here with no problems. 10 minutes from the Main strip, the dress is casual and relaxed. Shorts and sandals are fine, and slacks and polo works just as well. We had pizza with side salad and fresh made soup. Soup is excellent. Pizza hand tossed (for real, out front where you can see it). We had meat lovers which included sliced meatballs. Awesome. Thin crust and fresh ingredients.

So tasty! Great pizza - some of the best we have had in the south. Loved the straciatella soup and Greek salad. Will definitely be back. Great service, too!

I can't tell you how many Italian restaurants I've been to where the "Italian" bread is an affront to Italians everywhere. Squishy, bland, flavorless bread that resembles wonder bread more than Italian bread. But Capriccio has some of the best Italian bread I've had in awhile. Dense, crusty, and flavorful. It's worth a trip just to gnaw on the bread as you wait for your food to arrive. We ordered a pizza and it also was very good. It's not NYC good mind you, but if you're in Myrtle Beach and have a craving for a NY style pie, it will more than satisfy that craving. The service too was excellent. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and gave us the impression that they genuinely cared that we enjoyed ourselves.

Top 3 best pizza in Myrtle Beach. Made with quality ingredients and always consistent.

Very disappointed. We've visited this restaurant in years past and were very pleased with the pizza. We're from the Northeast, and have pretty high pizza standards and really liked this place in years past. This visit, we ordered the stuffed mushrooms, which were delivered cold. Only a minute later, our margherita pizza was brought out. It was not pipping hot as a pizza fresh out of the oven should be. I suspect it was already made and heated up when we ordered. It was dried out, no sliced mozzarella, but shredded (and not much) and definitely not plum tomatoes as described. On top of all this, the service was not good. The only pleasant part of the meal was the free bread and seasoned oil. We will skip this place on future visits to Myrtle Beach.

Can't do 4.5 so I did 4, really good pizza, especially at the beach where most of the pizza is cardboard. We ordered a large cheese and a large Hawaiian and both were great and good size. A little more expensive than everything else but well worth it.

For an inexpensive, authentic Italian joint, this place really hit the spot. For starters, the service was on point, and the honesty with which our waiter served us was refreshing. He admitted that the first pizza the table ordered did not look quite right (a bit dark on the bottom) so he had the kitchen fire a new pizza off to fix it...all before it ever even got to the table. While it took twenty five minutes to get the pizza there, it was nice they would rather send it out right and a little late than on time and totally wrong. I personally ordered the gnocchi which is usually a decent test of an Italian restaurant's fleur de sel. It arrive promptly and was a very decent, passable dish. Some of the dumplings were light and cloudlike, but there were many which offered a dense, chewy endeavor. The sauce was a no frills, on-point tomato and eggplant sauce. The eggplant parmesan was a HUGE portion, which for the price we paid, was enough to two full meals no doubt. And as many other reviewers pointed out, the oil and garlic dip to start the meal was stupendous. No frills, no gimmicks, quality, down-home italian food in MB with nearly everything made from scratch. A solid place at an affordable price!

NEVER EVER AGAIN. We ordered a pizza and i ordered alfredo. The alfredo was so watery and tasted horrible. and it was 20$. The pizza was rubbery, and i didn't like how the server brought our refill's in a regular cup and dumped them into our cup's.

Pizza very good, great crust. If you want MY style this is the place! Super nice and we came in at 10 said the kitchen was close, we asked for a pie they said sure sitdown. That was so awesome and cool of them to do that.

I have given Capriccio a bad rating because of misrepresenting their Margherita Pizza. They lead you to believe that is has "fresh mozzarella" but saying it does on the menu, but it is just shredded mozzarella like every other pizza they sell. The Margherita Pizza is the only pizza on their menu that says "fresh mozzarella" in the description instead of just mozzarella cheese in the others. But don't even bother to ask them, they will argue with you that their shredded mozzarella is "fresh". Was with another party about 2-3 years ago and had the same argument with them about the fresh mozzarella then, but forgot until our pizza came to table. I don't know why they don't just change they menu or make it right. Other than that everything good. but they do have an attitude!

While on vacay, we stopped here per suggestion from a friend with a condo in the area. At first arrival, we were surprised that the restaurant was located in a strip mall. When we entered, there seemed to be some confusion as several people were waiting for tables with no hostess in site. The owner came over and asked how many in our party but did not take our name. As more people entered, the confusion increased. Luckily, the hostess returned after about 10 minutes of everyone standing there looking confused. We were sat right away and given menus. The menu was very large and included pizzas, pastas and entrees. I ordered a glass of chianti and the chicken alla Roma with a side salad. The waitor quickly brought out a warm basket of bread with dipping oil. The rest of our meal arrived in a timely manner. My chicken cutlets were served in a light wine sauce and were topped with fresh tomatoes and mozzarella. I also received a side of penne marinara. Hubs went with penne vodka. Although I'm usually a huge vodka fan, I preferred the marinara this time. Overall, after the initial confusion, our experience at C's was wonderful. The service, drinks and food exceeded my expectations.

Stopped in tonight with a party of 4 looking for good pizza. Found it at Capriccio, along with good, friendly service. Served warm bread with garlic/oil while we waited. Liked the "team" serving concept -- a wait person (not necessarily 'ours') was always there to refill our drinks, bring bread, take dishes, etc. Pizza was better than our favorite pizza place back home. The crust was crisp on the bottom, the sauce was excellent and the toppings (sausage, pineapple, pepperoni) were good. Everything about our visit was good. Definitely recommend.

Exceeded my expectations! Great crust, and good cheese. I would recommend their pizza.

First, the pros: Nice location and decor, ample parking, received prompt and friendly greeting on arrival, seated quickly as restaurant appx 1/3 full, ample portions, the bread & oil was tasty (more later), and I enjoyed the Penne de Gennaro. My wife had the lasagna and said it was at best average. Next, the cons: 1. My wife ordered a frozen strawberry daiquiri....we were told the bar does not serve frozen drinks...huh? We've never seen a bar that couldn't prepare a frozen drink....that was a first for us. 2. My wife ordered a Caesar Salad (at extra cost)....when it arrived, it was not cold and a bit of the lettuce was yellowed and limp. She is reluctant to complain, so she didn't say anything. When the busboy took her bowl and saw that 95% of the salad was still there, he asked if there was something wrong and she told him. The waiter then came over and insisted that the salad was indeed fresh. Then a couple of minutes later, a woman came over and again insisted there was nothing wrong with the salad. All this because my wife chose not to eat it....we never said anything until asked and did not ask for it to be replaced or taken off our bill....she simply didn't eat it. 3. The restaurant serves bread and oil before your meal. The plate of oil we received was only about half full, and when we ran out, we requested a little more oil (we still had 1/2 basket of bread). We were told that in order to get more oil, we had to order a second complete serving of bread...at extra cost. 4. I had a beer before the meal and requested that I be served water with my meal. The waiter forgot and didn't come back so I could remind him until I was about 95% done with my meal. Conclusion; Not somewhere we would go to again nor would we recommend to a friend.....too many better places in Myrtle Beach.

Some of the best Italian food we've had at the beach. We stopped in at 8:30 for a late pizza dinner and this place did not disappoint! We weren't too hungry so my family of four ordered the antipasto platter for one and a large sausage pizza. The platter was huge, and delicious. It had eggplant Parmesan, stuffed mushrooms, stuffed clams, shrimp, and fried calamari on it. Everything was cooked perfectly and the sauce was full of flavor. On to the pizza. Let me start by saying I am a pizza snob, I like my sausage and sauce to be authentic, and my crust to be NY style, and this was it. It tasted delicious, however my only complaint was that the crust didn't have that crisp bottom that I love. It's really hard to find a perfect pizza, but overall, this place was great. This will definitely be my go to Italian restaurant when we are at the beach. Oh, best of all, add sodas, and a kids meal and our tab only came in just under $40! Can't beat that in this tourist town!

Quit wasting your time at the crowded, nasty food joints on the strip and come eat some delicious, authentic Italian food. Plenty of seating, nice and CLEAN Decor, friendly staff. We had the mozzarella caprese and hot antipasto sampler to begin. All of it...delicious. The hot antipasto was filling in itself. Shrimp, calamari, clams, stuff mushrooms. Even the mozzarella caprese came with olives, mushrooms, and roasted red peppers. We also ordered a Sicilian style pizza and it was great. Crust was crispy, fresh cheese and toppings. We left this place totally stuffed, with half a pizza for leftovers.

Really good pizza, veal Marsala and EXCELLENT service. Nice little off the beaten path place. 7 adults and a kids meal sodas and beers $126. Family friendly prices. Place is clean. We even saw them wiping down the menus. When was the last time you saw ANY restaurants doing that?

In short, meatball sub was fantastic. Meatballs had great taste as did the sauce. Pizza was cooked perfectly and the wait staff were hands on but not in your face. When something was needed they were there without asking. Nice quiet place to enjoy good food and people.

Five stars for the pizza! Three or four for the other entrees. We were in Myrtle Beach on a trade of our time share, we were due to have rain the next day, so we bought pizza for dinner, chicken parm and ravioli for lunch or dinner the next day in case we were "rained in." The chicken parm and ravioli were good, but not spectacular.

Being a Native New Yorker and living in SC for the past four years I have apdapted to doughy crappy pizza.....until I found this place There pizza and pasta dishes are the best I have had in Myrtle Beach for sure. Ive had plain pies, mushroom slices and a veggie pie and they were all fantastic. Also there pastas are just too good, salads as well I was a little dissapointed in the salad prices, too expensive but im a sucker for lettuce and kalamata olives so i get them anyway. Word of advice, lunch prices are much cheaper but portions are the SAME as dinner. so if you planning on takeout buy it at lunch and heat it up later.

Had a caesar with way to much dressing and pie that was just ok. The table next to us ordered a meatball sandwich and it looked very good, maybe I shoulda tried that. Service was very good.

We read the reviews on Yelp, and were not disappointed with Capriccio. We like pizza with a thin crust and the margarita pizza was great. The house wine also a hit! Service was efficient and good. Enjoyed the bread, and dipping into olive oil. The Greek salad was tasty - you never know with salad how the quality might be. Would definitely return if we were in the area again.

Probably the best pizza I have had in Myrtle Beach. We have been coming yearly for 8 years and tried a few places and most were fairly blah. This one had very good pizza as well as tasty meatballs. The bread and flavored oil to start the meal were nice, and the service was friendly, attentive, and ample. We'll be making this a staple of our trips from now on.

Gotta love Capriccio's, definitely one thing I miss about living in Myrtle. I could consume anything on their menu and be satisfied, but I have to suggest everyone should at least try a slice of their pizza. Try their Hawaiian Pizza or their Ravioli. And, I think you can even order online!

Best Italian food for sure. My family and I have been searching for a great Italian restaurant and we found it. The food was spectacular and very fresh and the services was awesome. We had a lot of food left over and wanted to take it home. We were 30 minutes from our condo and wanted to go shopping. So, the staff made us a cooler and filled it with ice so we can take it home and enjoy it the next day. Who takes time and makes a cooler? The staff was amazing. So, we found our Italian restaurant and we'll be back...often. We had the pizza - very fresh and crispy Eggplant Parmigiana - amazing. Great flavor and combination of the sauce Chicken Sorrentino - tender and the sauce was awesome. If yo want Italian food that is authentic...give them a try!

One of the best things about Capriccio is that it is not located near the tourist mecca known as Celebrity CIty. At 7:40p on a Sunday during tourist season the wait at restaurants in CC was 1.5+ hours. At Capriccio we were seated immediately by a friendly waiter (Mike) that was appropriately attentive throughout the night. We had three glasses of house wine. Although inexpensive both the Chianti and Pinot Noir were very good. The Merlot was acceptable. We had the Mozzarella Caprese appetizer as well. It was good. Our group had three dinners. The first was an awful Cajun/spicy chicken. It was HOT HOT HOT and nothing positive can be said about it. The other two ordered specialty pizzas. One was the Capriccio Special except we asked for fresh tomatoes instead of sun dried tomatoes. I like the way Capriccio cuts long thing onion strings, but they use frozen spinach. What else they did to make the pizza tasteless remains a secret. The other pizza was the San Gennaro. It was fantastic. Everything about this pizza tasted better--even the crust. Took a couple of slices home for breakfast--I was on vacation.

Great place for Italian food. We ordered some pasta and pizza. The pizza was great while the pasta was good. The customer service was also great here. Very attentive, brought our food out pretty quickly and were nice the entire time. It is filling here though. Italian food is always filling. The pizza is a must! We also got the hot italian sampler which was delicious. Had a little bit of everything. Highly recommended!

It's in a stirp mall so you may think first thoughts ehhhh.....but after going there there a few times this place is awesome. Pizza's are huge and unique. Def recommend if your in a group and looking for a good priced meal that feeds everyone fast.

Food was good, service was terrible. A little expensive for a place with no atmosphere. Basically just your average pizza joint but whatever. Dinner for two...The place was not busy at all. Waitress asked us if house dressing is ok with our salads, sure. Ordered entrees and was told our choice of pasta was penne or linguine. I asked for angel hair and was told there will be a $6 charge because they have to cook it fresh. Uhhh, ok...? Never in my life have I been to an Italian restaurant that told me that it cost EXTRA to cook angel hair. Are you kidding me? i stuck with the linguine because that is one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard in my life. $6 just to cook angel hair? Is this special angel hair? LOL. So anyways we ordered at 7:30 and the food came to our table at almost 8:15!! Never got our salads...we took a few bites and boxed the rest and went home. Food was pretty good tho... Overall, Eh.

Disappointed regular as prices have just been increased 15% and up. It was a great place for the locals to get a good meal but I will no longer go as they have priced me out. Too many other choices in town.

After church, a couple mentioned this place and said it was the best. Since you shouldn't lie at church, I trusted their opinion. They were right. The two pizzas were awesome and I loved the bread and dipping oil. I will be back... I can't believe I haven't been there before!

  • Tom H.

Definitely good pizza and stuffed mushrooms but I wouldn't necessarily say it's the best pizza in town. The service is for the most part good but can be a bit slow in peak season and busy times. I would not venture way out of the Myrtle Beach oceanfront area (especially with the heavy dinner traffic) to try and get my pizza here. If you leave near the place then by all means.

Really nice little family style Italian restaurant right in Myrtyle Beach. Capriccio's has american favorites like lasagna and spaghetti, but also a large selection of very authentic Italian dishes. More than the usual red sauce goodies...not there's anything wrong with those. In fact I had the lasagna and it was very good. Delicious hot bread is served with a fantastic spiced olive oil before the meal. Wait staff was very attentive and took great care of us. Highly recommended.

Food was great. We had the shrimp and red sauce. Homemade sauce. Very tasty. One of my boys had the oyster linguini and my other had baked Ziti. It's worth the trip.

I recently visited Capriccio's located in a strip mall in the Myrtle Beach area. There were plenty of tables and I was surprised to find this dining area larger than I had expected. Our waiter Roger took our drink orders then kept us busy with some great breads and olive oil! Some members of our group ordered a pizza, veal(rubbery) and lasagna. I ordered a chicken/pasta dish that sounded good. After I told the waiter my order he suggested switching the normal pasta out for penne pasta. The food comes out, he informs me that the chef made the dish with linguine instead of the penne that he recommended and that I had ordered, do you want it? Well, in hindsight the mistake I made was to say 'no', make it the way we had talked about with penne pasta. I still can't understand why he would bring the food out wrong, then ask me if I wanted it that way when I was ordering by his recommendation. Roger should have told the chef it was wrong and not ask me. He said that he was going to send it back and it wouldn't take long to fix the mistake. At this point another gracious member of our group offered me a slice of pizza while I waited! (YUM)! Roger was correct, it didn't take long but the penne wasn't cooked all the way. By this time I realized my mistake so I just ate everything but the pasta. The chicken was good but would have been better with pasta. I did inform the waiter that the penne wasn't cooked so that he could let the chef know. If I ran an Italian Restaurant I would hope that my chef would know how to cook pasta and if the chef (DONKEY!) didn't, I WOULD like to know about it. He asked if I would like something else which I declined. Roger's cheerful attitude while serving our table was an asset in this situation. Everyone makes mistakes, we just need to learn from them. I would go to Capriccio's again but would probably order a tomato based dish or the pizza which was excellent!

Went here with the family for dinner one night. I ordered the Chicken Parm and Ms. Princess ordered the kid's ravioli. SO MUCH FOOD! My chicken parm came with two huge pieces of chicken and some pasta. The pasta and sauce were awesome. The chicken, had too much breading on it, but was still good. Ms. Princesses ravioli was great. They had bread at the table and I advise trying it. Delicious! The service was super friendly and attentive.

For my money, the best value and best Italian food in Myrtle Beach. I have never had a bad meal here and I probably go 304 per month. It is getting to be my Sunday night hangout.

  • Paul R.

Capriccio has quickly become a local favorite casual Italian joint. They have a huge menu, but do yourself a favor and try the pizza first. The pizza is a thin hand tossed crust with just the right amount of crunch. They sell by the slice and whole pies. There's no doubting this restaurant's authentic NY roots. The interior design makes things feel cozy but the "seat yourself" service can cause slow service and confusion once in a while.

On a recent trip to Myrtle Beach with my husband and mother in law, we decided that an Italian place was going to be our next victim for dinner. There are tons of italian/pizzeria restaurants in Myrtle Beach, so there is alot of competition, but this one had great ratings from Yelp. We were a little underwhelmed by the food. First the good, and then the disappointing; Service was perfecto. My mother in law is a real pain when it comes to service (I'd probably spit in her food if I were in their shoes) and our waiter didn't skip a beat, even after she barrated him for putting too much ice in her water. He was patient and accomodating...which is more than I can say for myself sometimes. My house cabernet was also fantastic, probably my favorite part of the meal. They start you out with warm bread, which is delightful and you dip it in an olive oil/spices plate. The olive oil plate of spices lacked flavor..I could see the red pepper flakes, the rosemary and the garlic, but couldn't taste anything but olive oil? Mum ordered a salad which came with shrimp. The shrimp were cooked well and seasoned to perfection. Husband ordered linguine with clams (his favorite) but it lacked cheese...and the sauce was very thin. I would prefer a thicker sauce and freshly shredded romano on top. I ordered the personal size (which can really feed 2 or 3) margerita pizza. I was unimpressed. I was hoping for a more authentic style pizza, crunchy crust, big round slices of fresh mozzerella and ripe tomatoes. My pizza was floppy and seemed undercooked, it lacked flavor. I was unimpressed. I asked for marinara on the side to try to salvage my dinner choice! The marinara was to die for, you can tell it was made fresh...so maybe I made a mistake ordering the pizza.

This is my favorite pizza restaurant in Myrtle Beach. We spend several weeks a year in Myrtle Beach and I'm so happy we found this restaurant. The service was excellent and the food even better. We had an appetizer and a pizza. The food was served fast, friendly, and hot. I'm looking forward to returning and trying more items from their menu.

The food is decent but the service sucks had the worst experience. She got the order wrong and not just once. She was way out in left field. My dinner came out on multiple plates b/c she couldn't get it right. My dinner was ruined and ended up not eating that night. :( think twice before going!!

We're so glad we drove off the touristy beaten path a little to go to to this place. It was our best dining experience in Myrtle Beach. We ordered pizza for my daughter and I had the pasta with vodka sauce ad we were both happy to get to share. Both were really good. We'll go back every trip to Myrtle.

We ate dinner at Capriccio last night and it was the worst dining experience we have EVER had anywhere. Service was extremely slow (40 minutes and no appetizer), no lasagna or salmon or ...., and when the entree was finally brought it was incorrect. We had talked nicely to the waitress, a waiter asking for the order to be checked on, and to the owner. He just shrugged his shoulders at not having either of the entrees I had ordered and that it took over an hour for my husband's. I had decided to simply skip my dinner after two returns from the waitress or owner to say they were out of the item. We were seated at 6:00 so the dinner crowd was adjust arriving so why the shortage. This was disappointing enough to decide to not retry here for any meal.

Staying at the Sheraton Broadway Plantation (38th and Grissom Hwy) this restaurant is conveniently located in the Bi-Lo Grocery strip mall. The unassuming front hides a really good italian family style restaurant. We ordered the hot calamari antipasti platter and the fried calamari to start. Both dishes are generous in sized and came hot to the table. The antipasti included fried calamari, eggplant rollotini, stuffed mushrooms and sauteed shrimp. All delicious especially the eggplant rollotini, tender and flavorful. We ordered a small Lasgne Pizza (fabulous with flavor), penne pasta with peppers and sausage (hearty and generous, enough for two people) and a meatball sub (again enough to share). The flavors are deep and satisfying. The service is friendly, fast and well appreciated. We will definitely seek this place out again while in Myrtle Beach.

Felt like pizza and sandwiches but we didn't want a touristy restaurant so after a little research we came here. A wise choice indeed. Casual dining room, very clean and welcoming. Server was very friendly and attentive and had warm bread and seasoned olive oil on the table with two minutes. We split with Itialian Combo sub which was easily a meal in itself and we each had a quarter of the sandwich because we also ordered a small San Gennaro pizza that had Italian sausage, roaster ed peppers, onions, and mozzarella cheese. The pizza would have easily fed four people. We asked that the pizza be "well done" and it was-they did it right the first time and without burning the cheese.

Based on Yelp reviews we tried Capriccio out tonight and we were not disappointed. I had the sausage and penne dish, and my wife had the shrimp with red sauce. The ingredients were really fresh and the dishes were hot. My daughter let me steal a piece of her sausage, pepperoni, and spinach pizza and it was excellent as well. And just like others had commented, the service was superb. We will be going back again.

We were thrilled to have Capriccio open at 38th Avenue. Chef Michael does a great job with everything on the menu but my absolute fave is the pizza. It's true NY style pizza. The tomato sauce isn't overpowering and complements well with any toppings of choice. They only sell it by the slice for lunch but are happy to make you a personal pizza during dinner. Great family restaurant. You're bound to run into lots of locals at Capriccio!

After living in NYC for a bit I have wanted to find a place that I could get a slice of good cheese pizza here along the Grand Strand. The kind of slice that you have to fold over to eat while the cheese strings along from your mouth to the pie. Capriccio's is that place!

This was a welcome find on our recent vacation. Thanks Yelp! The food was very good. The mozzerralla en carozza (sp?) was a delicious appetizer. Every one loved their dishes. The kids had pizza and that was delicious as well. A very good find!

Just visited this restaraunt on vacation after seeing it on TV last time I was there. I tried to pizza first as others have said and the others with me got a salad and Manicotti. Let me start with the service was horrible. By that I mean a 10 min. wait to get our drink order in, even though a server seated us going against the "please seat yourself" sign. Then another 5 minutes before we recieved our drinks. Then after we got drinks another 5 minutes before we got to order. So a total of 20 minutes to put our order in. The manicotti was supposedly great, I didn't try it. The pizza I had was basic at best. It had the New York style look but not taste. It was very plain and bland. I have had far better pizza alot of other places including at malls. I will not visit this place again after my experience.

Yes the pizza is delicious because the ingredients are all first quality, BUT skip the pizza and eat a meal even at lunch time. The meals are incredible. Worth every calorie and dollar you have to spend. We are going back to vacation in MB just so we can eat here every day. We did not find this place until we were to leave the next day. We had lunch and dinner here. Lunch was white pizza with spinach and trigger fish with pasta side. Greek salad, bread with oil. Dinner was a whole white pizza which we brought back to Georgia to finish the next day, bread with this amazing oil , and cavatelli with sausage and rabbe. Amazingly delicious. I believe with all my heart there is nothing on the menu that I would not love. I will review again when I go to MB in the fall. ps...eat the specials of the day. Outstanding service. Owner comes around to greet you.

I'll tell ya right now...this is the spot. They are so good they are expanding next door to a much larger location and well deserved. Service and food were pretty damn good. This is coming from an Italian Jersey guy. This place is legit. First it starts off with a ridiculous oil, garlic and basil dip for the bread. Then comes the food. I decided to go with 2 apps for dinner. Clams oreganato and calamari. Both were well cooked and flavorful. Wife and kids got penne a la vodka, eggplant w/ meatballs (That's her thang) and ravioli. All 4 were good. If you think it's hard to mess up any of those you'd be surprised. Only knock I have is I thought the meatballs were a little too dense. Meatball preference is like debating your favorite color. I'll leave it at that. However, the flavor was there and on point. Overall Capriccio's is an above average Italian joint in Myrtle beach with standard paricing. No gimmicks, no large crabs, mermaids or pirates. It's a local place where locals go to enjoy good Italian food. Owner is from Westchester by the way.

Home-y wholesome little joint in the shopping strip mall. I was DYING for vegetables - boyfriend was DYING for pizza (I know... pizza in SC?). We ordered grilled vegetable appetizer. It was a platter of grilled vegetables cooked in this sort of balsamic olive oil concoction - I liked it. Grilled mushrooms are awesome. I had the Capriccio salad - with spinach in lieu of arugula since they were out that night and tomatoes. Tomatoes were a bit raw and hard... and crunchy. The San Gennaro pizza came with sausage, peppers, and onions. It was okay for pizzas - tasty enough.

Probably the best pizza I have had in Myrtle Beach. We have been coming yearly for 8 years and tried a few places and most were fairly blah.

We came out stuffed! Drank some wine, came in for pizza, but ended up getting meals. My husband enjoyed the eggplant rollatini and I had chicken Maria. Good service, nice place for affordable Italian.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
